OUR CURRENT LYF UPDATE

Music In Worship

St. Andrew places a very high priority on ministry to and with the youth of our congregation and community. As Director of Christian Education & Youth Ministry, I have the privilege of coordinating regular fellowship and faith growth activities in addition to our Sunday School, Vacation Bible School and Confirmation Preparation programs of our congregation.

While we hold a number of activities involving all ages and families, we also have three “Lutheran Youth Fellowship” (LYF) youth groups for Grades 9-12 High School, Grades 6-8 Middle School/Jr. High, and Grades 3-5 Kid’s Club, and a youth choir, “Inspiration”.

Among our youth events we normally include activity nights, service activities, Christian concerts, mission trips, lakes activities, summer camps, hay rides, and participating in area, state and national youth gatherings. Because we believe that faith in our Savior Jesus Christ is to be the center of our lives, a bible study or other faith-growth activity is normally incorporated into all of our youth events. Parents are always welcome and encouraged to become actively involved with the planning and chaperoning of our various youth activities.
